Current Focus (2025)

• Mobile Web-based Augmented Reality
  I like web-based augmented reality because it's practical and works on most modern phones without needing an app. Phones from 2019 and newer can generally handle it. The challenge is that WebAR doesn't work like a regular website—it has to manage data differently, which limits how much detail and geometry it can handle. But as phones improve, so will the experience.

• Digital Experiences (Mixed Reality)
  I haven't fully experienced this yet. I have a Meta Quest 2 and have experimented with using Spatial as a pre-vis tool for AR and trying spray paint art, which was fun. But current technology makes it hard to stay in VR for more than 30 minutes without getting a headache. I'm still interested in exploring it, though, especially the offline aspect—having a device strapped so close to your brain doesn't seem entirely safe.

• Digital Generative Tools

  With everything else going on in life, there just aren't enough hours in the day to fit this in too. These tools also come with a subscription cost, and I've been using Midjourney for non-personal work since late 2021. But the possibilities are incredible—like generating a full Ghibli-style version of Lord of the Rings. That completely blew my mind.

• Product Design
  I've always loved design and code, but there was a time when I had to stop completely because I was experiencing something traumatic. Now, after 10 years, I'm ready to start again with a new perspective. I'm excited to rebuild some of the mini apps I was working on back in 2015 from the ground up.

• 3D Design Tools
  I've always loved drawing floor plans and being hands-on with design. My first job at 18 was as a digital drafter using AutoCAD, and later in art school, I got into tools like SketchUp. I haven't touched 3D in years, but now I'm ready to dive back in—this time, exploring objects for mixed reality
